This is hopeless!! Have you ever felt that way about anything before? The Prophet Ezekiel felt that way while he was an exile in the land of Babylon. He had been captured and taken away by the Babylonians when he was around 25 years old in around 597BC. Then in 586BC, while still a captive in Babylon, he and the other Jewish captives heard the terrible news that their beloved city, Jerusalem, and the beautiful Temple of Solomon, had been utterly and completely destroyed by the Babylonians after the remaining Jews in their homeland had rebelled against Babylonian rule. They felt that their nation would never rise again and all was lost. It was in this dark moment that God gave Ezekiel the vision of "The Valley of Dry Bones" and most importantly a message of Hope to those to whom "All Hope was Lost". That message was not only to the ancient Jews, but it is a message that God still is speaking to you and I today.
